Unfortunately half of the problem is that while estrogen based contraceptives are common, testosterone contraceptive options are historically non existent, and currently very limited. There’s a few options coming to market now, which will give a few more choices to control reproductive choices without resorting to vasectomies.
It does though.

Yea, I'm down for better male contraceptives. Me? I'm done, I have two kids and I'm in my 50s'. I'm getting a vasectemy this year.
