Yea, I typically use VS Code when developing apps on WSL (primarily web applications). I haven't observed any issues doing it that way. I haven't used JetBrains for .NET on WSL, but I have used RubyMine (also JetBrains) for with WSL and it work...okay.... However, RubyMine was running in Windows and used a proxy for debugging (like VS Code).
