When I was in high school, I had a mean girl in my English class that used to taunt me every day. Eventually I got tired of it and I told her off (I think I used the 'B' word :) ). She said, 'How dare you talk to me that way! I'm going to get my boyfriend to beat you up!'. Guess what happened? Her boyfriend caught me after school and beat me up.

You don't know what was going on between Jada and Will. I do know he seemed fine until he saw her reaction. Those two have been married a long time and I'm pretty sure there is some non verbal communication that you wouldn't see. He may have done what he did and she may have communicated her consent...maybe even an expectation. Women do make requests for violence from men, as I know all to well from High School. I know, #NotAllWomen However, you're making generalities about men, so fair is fair.

Still he did it and that's on Will. I like Will Smith and Chris Rock. I was disappointed by both of them, but they're human. I agree that men should focus on protecting women's bodies and let them defend their honor on their own. However, this woman=good men=bad is narrative gets so freaking tiresome. It's misandry. Will's moment of weakness was human and he apologized to Chris for it. It's hateful for you to infantilize him, or men in general for it.
