When I was dating, if a woman offered to split I would decline unless she really insisted. I would pick up the tab for the first few dates, after that I would expect her to start chipping in. If she hadn't made some offer to contribute by the end of the second date, I was done. I don’t believe a woman who is unwilling to share the expenses of dating will share the expenses of living if we get married.
