Typically, I would agree with you. However, it wasn't a man and a woman, it was a couple of women in a singles bar.

This is my understanding: don't approach women uninvited on the street, on a bus, in the gym, at the grocery store...etc: it's not the place or the time. However, a singles bar is a specifically designated venue for single men and women to meet.

First of all, I wouldn't have used that word when approaching a group of women. To be fair, I'm a married middle aged man...so what do I know? The level of offense you are taking seems a bit hyperbolic, but that's just me. It's a good reason to shoot men down. If they they don't accept the rejection, then it's a problem.

Agreed, women don’t owe men a conversation, a drink or a smile. If you don’t like a guy who approaches you in a singles bar, tell him to buzz off. If you feel offended that he approached you at all, that’s on you. If he hasn’t been rude or insulting, he’s done nothing wrong. If you aren't in the mood for strange men approaching you, then don't go to singles bars or night clubs.
