Violence and imbalance of power. This in most cases will place the burden of avoiding violence squarely at the man's feet. In most cases, this is true. However, this seems also to be saying that a woman cannot abuse a man, because there isn't an imbalance of power. If a man performs violence on his partner, that's abuse. If a woman performs violence on her partner, and that partner is a man....meh. That doesn't seem right to me.
