Totally dug the Madchester scene. I was a big fan of the Stone Roses, the Charlatans, the Happy Mondays and the Inspiral Carpets. I also loved the La's (There She Goes). To me, they were Madchester adjacent. Their eponymous album was on constantly during 1991 (although it was release in Oct of 1990).
I saw the Inspiral Carpets at Trees in Deep Elum (Dallas) in 1991 while tripping on shrooms.
Another notable year to cover is in alt-80's was 1988, considered the year of the second summer of love. I did more drugs (MMDA & Chocolate Mescaline) that year than I have rest of my life. A song that comes to mind from that era was Cocaine Sex by Renegade Soundwave.
The recklessness of youth. I'm lucky to be alive!
