This is a false equivalency. Giving someone favorable terms for a loan in return for years of military service is not the same as forgiving a portion of a loan someone has already agreed to who didn't have to serve in the military. I'm not advocating for or against student loan forgiveness, I'm just pointing out that this NOT the same.
