This boy/real man binary is pretty tiresome. It is used primarily to re-enforce toxic male behavior and it's kind of disturbing to see it used here as a weapon. Real men don't drunk call, make promises they don't keep. They don't judge you, get tired of you or leave you. They don't look at other women. They don't argue with you and they always pick up the tab.
