That's the secret sauce, Elle. You're talking about a specific type of violence, from domestic partners. You've put context around the problem. I got no issue with that. Women suffer from domestic violence much more frequently then men. It's often not framed that way. In fact, in the UK, it has been suggested that a curfew should be put in place, only for men so that women can feel safe. Why? How is that going to help with domestic abuse?

Why is it so important to bring up the fact that violence is being perpetrated by men when we talk about male victims? Are we some how complicit in our own victimization because we share the gender of the perpetrator?

Finally, again, it's not like "all lives matter" when men are the primary victims of violence.
