Thanks for writing this article. There are is a lot of misogyny out there. This "becoming a man" isn't helping. Boys become men by surviving childhood and youth. If he has done this, he's man. He may not be a good man. The "real man" trope is harmful and is often used to sell toxic masculinity. We shouldn't have to earn our way to being the gender we were born or identify as.
