Patriarchy is very much real. I was born and raised in a South Asian country and I have seen the power imbalance, even in households. How the husband/father is considered the "ultimate authority" and the "head of the family". Still there are men who expect a "dowry" when getting married, there are traditions where the bride has to worship the groom at the alter, the list goes on. Aside from the forced child marriages, violence statistics, there are so many examples that show how women are still treated as less than men. So I think Feminism is still very much needed.
