I think the author has come to peace with that and she has learned that some behaviors are effective and some behavior are just not. You would be surprised at what emotions men and women find innately attractive and unattractive:

In the end, you have to decide for yourself what is important. I know a lot of what is suggested in this article triggers some sexist outrage. Read what it says about men. For example, it states that happiness is a unattractive emotion. Does that mean I can either be happy or attractive to women: not both? Does it mean that women don't want men to be happy? Of course not! I think it means that if I'm at a bar, maybe the goofy shit eating grin look is the wrong strategy.
