Of course we are. We're afraid of men that are more qualified than we are too. We are afraid of everything that threatens our ability to provide. Why? Men primarily are valued in society by their ability to provide. If we don't find relative success we get discarded. We don't call women "Losers". When women get passed over for marriage because they don't meet some financial success threshold, then we will have indeed reached a milestone in gender equality. I can imagine men will look a lot prettier by then.
