Men do feel alienated from the Democrat party. I don't think it's necessarily women's fault, but the Democrat party this last cycle lost ground on appealing to young men.

I'm not a fan of the whole man vs bear thing either, but I think that's more of a symptom of the problem. Progressives have made a sport of vilifying and dismissing young men over the past decade and it's finally had an effect.

There were opportunities for the Democratic party to appeal to young men, particularly around job creation and inflation. Instead, the Democratic party focused mainly on social justice and reproductive rights. Those are important things, but they really don't help young men.

Instead, the Democratic party aired some really cringy patronizing ads with regards to men: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hk4ueY9wVtA

FFS: I'm man enough? Seriously? Why didn't they appeal to men based on self-interest rather than some performative bullshit?

Many progressive young men just stayed home.
