I've written an article on who should pay a while back. I was a little more diplomatic than you, but I really think we're at the same place...ideologically. I'm married and so a lot of this doesn't relate directly to me anymore. I do have a son, who is right now 19 -- primage for dating. I want to be able to codify how I can best advise him as a parent on what is fair and what is not. I want him to be respectful and courteous to women, but I want him to stand up for himself. I think he could benefit from this article.
