Women didn't build the shelters. They were built using donations and tax payer money. The tax payer money money is paid for by both genders...not just women. If I have to pay taxes to for the government to build DV/IPV shelters for the PUBLIC, that money needs to serve everyone...not just one gender. Other money that is made by donations is not what I'm talking about. If people want to build women-only shelters and not build shelters for men, they can do so with donated funds. If it's tax money it's use shouldn't be only to benefit one gender.
