Is it really our job to ensure masculinity has a blue print?
I depends on what your (and the author) means by our. Women, no. Feminist, no. Society, maybe.
I feel like thats a personal problem. It's called self-actualization and creating your own lane.
If you have a friend who is feeling down and is contemplating suicide, it's a personal problem. You should tell him to seek professional help and work on himself. If men, world wide, are committing suicide a three times the number that women are, shouting out to an entire gender: "get help! self actuallize!" seems a bit silly to me. It's a social issue.
Why do men have to be masculine?
Again, yelling out to an entire gender: "forget social expectations...you don't have to be masculine" is silly.
