I'm sorry, but I just don't believe this is true. This notion I think it's problematic for both genders:

1. It implies that women are less capable than men with regards to handling stress. It is kind of infantilizing.

2. It implies that men are more tolerant or less affected by stress. I believe this pressures men to just deal with the stress and not complain.

I think both genders should have the capacity to deal with stress, but with limits. The inclusion of women in the workforce may benefit men in this regard. Women are more likely to demand better work-life balance and it's in men's best interest to recognize the importance of work/life balance in their own lives.
