Where did I say that women can't go to bars? Bars are a designated place where people go to meet other people (both friends and strangers). Chances are if you go to a bar, a stranger (man or woman) may talk to you. Are you saying that strangers should never talk to you? Or just men? I just don't understand the outrage here.

Full disclosure: I don't go to bars. I'm a middle aged, married man. Maybe I'm just out of touch, but I thought that single men and women sometimes meet each other for the first time in a bar? No?
