If you're countering whether or not men and women are paid the same, you're doing so by changing the statement to "in my profession". Generally speaking, men and women get paid the same amount for the same work. In my profession, software architecture, women are rare and more sought after. I don't know if that means women get paid more, but it is what it is.

The notion that men having nothing to work on when they get home because women do everything is hyperbole. Studies show that men have, on average, 13% more free time than women. That's a imbalance that society needs to address, but it's a far cry from men doing nothing and women doing everything.

As a man who has been a sole provider for 4 years now, I'm still expected to contribute to chores when I get home. I'm not complaining, because I think that's fair. Ultimately, couples should have the same amount of free time.
