I think I understand, but I'm not sure I would agree. I just don't think young men have it any easier, economically speaking, than young women. Paying for dates is hard for young people, regardless of gender. I think young men will ignore their budget to pay for a date, where a young woman will not. I'm not clear on how women's contribution to household tasks are relevant, we're talking about single people...right?
