I think anyone who cares should be involved. Are you suggesting that only men should be involved? Ok, so men shouldn't care about women's rights then? What are you saying here?

What I am suggesting is that when writing about policy changes to confront violence, let's stop focusing on protecting one gender only. Yes, as a society we are doing that. We already prioritize women's safety over men's. The point of the articles is raise awareness of violence against women specifically (not men). Google women's safety. It brings up results about keeping women safe from violent crime. Google men's safety. It brings up results about work boots. I think we are all very aware of violence against women. They feature a woman victim as a headline in the news almost once a month

What would be acceptable ratio of murdered women to men? It's already 1 women for every 3 men. How about 1 women for every 5 men? 10 men? At what point can we stop prioritizing women's safety over men's?
