I remember reading this article and liking it. If dating is a numbers game and the purpose of the first date is to determine initial compatibility, then the first date is likely not to be a match. Making the woman pay for "non matches" is also unfair. For the most part, I think Dutch is the way to go. It reinforces mutual respect and equality.
