I regret saying that you're a hateful person. I don't know whether you have hate in your heart or not. I apologize. What I can say is that your statements are harmful. Whether you give a shit or not is up to you.

Stating that you don't like short men in the context of dating is basically the same as me saying I don't like fat women. It's not hateful, but it's cruel and unnecessary. Your statements were not in the context of dating (I read the context), which makes it worse. Stating that short men have shitty personalities is not a fact, it's a generalization. According to the article you posted, small man syndrome primarily describes the behavior between short men towards taller men. Short men tend act aggressively, to compensate for their perceived inadequacies. It's a defense mechanism that is a response to being dismissed and devalued. It says nothing about "shitty personalities", that is your embellishment. Not all men suffer from small man syndrome, which makes what you said a generalization (not a fact).

Height discrimination is a real problem. Height discrimination leads to all sorts of other nasty behavior, such as physical bullying and microaggressions. All of this causes real harm. There is a study (link below) that demonstrates an inverse relationship between height and suicide among men
