So what if a rich man would never date a woman with a $20 purse (I don't think that is true of all rich men)? What makes you entitled to date rich men? If you can't attract rich men because you can't afford the right purse, that' s not because of the patriarchy. I can't attract certain women because there are things I can't afford too. Do you have to date rich men? Why?
