I don't read the Daily Wire and I haven't read the investigation by the media non-profit, The Citizens. What I have done is watch the trial. In the trial, Johnny has had many witness give testimony that corroborate his story. Amber on the other hand, really only has her sister, which by itself makes me a bit incredulous. None of her other witnesses actually witnessed any abuse. Her evidence is not that strong either. Her pictures cannot be validated and there is more valid evidence on the plaintiff side that conflicts with her evidence. Her expert witnesses have been less credible than Johnny's. From my perspective, it looks our choice is to either believe Amber and her sister and questionable evidence, or Johnny and a long line of credible witnesses and really good evidence. I wasn't able to watch the UK trial, so I don't have a real opinion on it. I'm waiting for how the jury rules, but it's not looking good for Amber.

I think all of the anti-Heard memes and hateful tiktok videos are unfortunate and they definitely demonstrate how misogynist our society still is. However, I am not willing to excuse the behavior of Ms Heard because of that. If she is indeed guilty of defamation, she opened pandora's box of public opinion when she released the Op-ed. Fair or not, she is suffering from troubles that are of her own making (hyperbolic as they may be). She did this to destroy Johnny's reputation, not to raise awareness about abuse. It reminds me of the saying: Live by the sword, Die by the sword. I don't think this is a good example of society "putting women in their place". Instead, it looks like justice to me, both literal and poetic.
