I disagree. I'm married and I've been working in application development for 20 years. During that time I have worked with women that I admired and respected as colleagues. There are a couple of them over the years that I have maintained friendships with. Our relationships are similar to my friendships with men in that they are based on mutual respect. I'm married as are the women friends that I have. I have no interest in them romantically and I don't think they have any romantic feelings for me. We share some of the same values, interests and sense of humor. I'll meet them for lunch or jump on a zoom call two or three times a month. We'll talk about our jobs, our families and our lives. I thoroughly enjoy their company and I depend on their advice and perspective.
