I disagree. You're getting your information from the manosphere and it's not helping you. Men are wired to approach women out of the blue. That is our nature. We're also human. This means that compulsion to approach women is tempered with our insecurities and fear of rejection. That has worsened with the Gender wars. Online dating makes it even more dehumanizing. To Shannon's point, we really need to stop degrading, demeaning and abusing the opposite sex. If you are a woman who is asked out by a man you aren't attracted to, decline gracefully. Thank you, but no thank you is all you need to say. If you get a kick out of putting them in their place, that's your character defect. You should look into that.

If you're a man who faces rejection, do it with dignity and respect and try to process the rejection in a healthy way. If you can't handle rejection respectfully, that's your character defect. You should look into that. (And stop asking women out until you get it taken care of)
