I agree racism is dangerous and disgusting. I'm not sure that these unfortunate incidents where, of themselves, acts of racism. The people he shot where white and it's not clear if it was or was not in self-defense. Hopefully his trial will reveal the truth.

Kyle was a troubled teen with a semi-automatic weapon, not exactly a ideal combination. At the age of 17, he really had no business being down there, let alone with an AR-15 styled rifle.

From the video and the reports, Rosenbaum (the first victim) was behaving aggressively. He chased Kyle, threw something at him and tried to take his gun. It is arguable that the act of trying to take Kyles rifle was considered justification for shooting in the act of self-defense.
