Great Article. I think of a couple things that i try practice to overcome imposter syndrome.

  1. It’s ok to ask me for help. Nobody knows everything and asking for help is a demonstration of confidence and maturity.
  2. I should be honest with myself about my knowledge on a given subject. I should recognize gaps in my knowledge as ‘OK’ and work towards continuous self education to bridge those gaps at a reasonable pace.
  3. Accept my colleagues and their expertise (don’t judge), and help them when I can. By acknowledging other’s value, even with observed gaps in their experience, I am able accept my own current state. Helping others makes it easier to ask me for help.
