First of all, there is no shame in personal preference. I'm average 5'10'' and definitely have height envy. I can't blame women for having preferences though. It's really only "Heightist" to me if you discriminate against short men for employment, or getting a house or excluding them socially.
However, I think people (men and women) should know how reasonable their preferences are, for their own good. For example, if you won't date men under 6 foot, you have to understand that you have limited yourself to 15% of the male population with that one requirement. Kind, intelligent, dresses well and employed are qualities that will further limit the male population that qualifies for you. These men are going to have their own requirements. Are you going to meet their requirements? Apparently, just being 6 foot gives a man a considerable advantage relative to other men. Do you have considerable competitive advantages over other women? Are you setting yourself up for loneliness? Really, how important is height to you relative to other qualities?
