First of all, I love this article and the tenor of it. I think nuance is very much missing in our discord these days. I think A.I. in social media often feeds us the narratives that contribute to our own cognitive bias and leads us down dangerous paths. It is separating all of us into different factions and telling us to hate one another. We have to stop listening to it.

However, I'm not sure incels are the black and white narrative that you make it out to be. I imagine that the degree to which each of these men fit your description vary greatly. Additionally, there are many lonely men that are not incels that suffer because of the confusing shifts in gender dynamics and the dysfunction of online dating. I'm glad I'm not a single man these days and I do worry for my son as approaches dating age. The emergence of the incel archetype in our society is often dismissed as misogynist young males who feel entitled to sexual companionship. I think it makes a compelling and convenient target for our judgement and scorn. I mean, who loves a loser? Loser has become so gendered.

I wonder how many of these men aren't entitled and are just feeling devalued and lost. Unwanted. Are we just dismissing them as 'moaning'?
