Don't marry someone you don't trust. Marraige is no longer guaranteed for life. It may seem kind of weird, but don't just consider what it may be like to marry that person, think what it might be like to divorce them. Make sure your partner is fair minded before you marry them. Try to be a fair minded person. Treat your partner respectfully, even if you don't get along. Don't give them reasons to resent you unnecessarily.

They may be a stay at home mom type of person, but if they believe in fairness, they will only want a fair settlement if divorce happens. That may mean some spousal support if they have been focusing on the family instead of their career. It's about fairness.
