Again, I think right and wrong binary is what causes the toxic political discourse. I do think it's good idea to look at the values of conservatism and liberalism beyond the punditry. Conservativism tends to value individualism over collectivism. Liberalism values collectivism over individualism. Ideally society functions at some optimal place in the middle, where we give individuals the freedom to pursue their living their best life with some guard rails that protects society from the decisions of individuals. We need both.

If you're political alignment is solidly left, it will be hard to convince you that conservatives are right about anything. I am not a conservative, however I do agree with some fiscal conservatives when it comes to government spending. There is very little accountability on how our government spends money, who benefits and who pays. The debt is out of control and it will affect subsequent generations similar to climate change. Lately, however, conservatives have lost their high ground with ridiculous tax cuts that mostly benefit the wealthy. However, before Trumpism, with exception to military spending, conservatives have been a check on too much spending. So that's an example, I think, were I consider the conservatives to be right.
